My Story: Choosing Integrity, Autonomy & a Values‑Aligned Path Forward
I’m Christina.
I’ve spent more than 30 years in the field of social work, and I thought I understood workplace challenges. But nothing prepared me for the moment when my employer asked me to compromise the very values that brought me into this profession in the first place.
When I was confronted with a gut‑wrenching ethical and moral conflict—one that threatened my job, my integrity and my mental health—I faced an impossible choice: stay in a job I absolutely loved, or stand by my convictions and accept whatever came next.
I chose my convictions.
But I also chose something else: I chose to create what came next, instead of waiting for the worst‑case scenario to unfold. I shifted my career trajectory, found a better‑paying position that aligned with my values, and began building my own business—leaving that painful chapter in my rearview mirror.
That experience fundamentally changed how I understood career, autonomy, and what it means to build a professional life on your own terms.
This isn’t abstract theory for me. It’s lived experience.
I know what it feels like to carry the weight of moral injury and ethical conflict. I know what it’s like to question your identity, your purpose, and your future because of a workplace that asked too much of your integrity.
I also know what it takes to rebuild.
Today, I support clients across Ontario, Newfoundland & Labrador, and throughout Canada and the United States as they navigate their own experiences of workplace moral distress, ethical conflict, and values‑based career transitions. Whether you’re rebuilding after harm or creating something entirely new, you deserve support that honours your story and your integrity. If you’re carrying the weight of workplace moral conflict and you’re ready to build something better—I’ve been there. I’m building a path forward where I never have to face that impossible choice again, and you can too.
